magpiesdream - To all of you who're calling this song "sexist": According to the Department of Justice, 1 in every 4 women will be sexually assaulted. (And those statistics only include assaults made it to court.) We live in a rape culture, where victim blaming and slut shaming are the norm. Most of our pop culture perpetuates this culture of degradation and dehumanization of women. So I'm psyched to hear a song that works to dismantle hegemony! 

TanithUndomielDarko - Just to settle this 'sexist' argument once and for all- when I was at the meet & greet, there was only one male VIP there. I heard two other girls whispering that EA was gonna treat him bad, but she didn't. She hugged him tight and kept telling him how pleased she was that he was there. She treated him the same as everybody else.

kikyoslovergirl - .. emilie tells the guys during the concert that they can fight like a girl too.. she's just turning something previously bad into a good thing and she's not saying destroy me. just destroy the shitty one.s 

DavidDecapitation - It's more along the lines of glorifying women using concepts that were formerly used to ridicule them (hence the title of the song). The parts regarding men aren't so much "destroy men because they're men," it's more like "empower women because they're women." Savvy? 

RachaelSummerr - Emilie has been raped and abused and stalked from when she only a small child, she's grown up with only knowing the horrible side of men, but it doesn't mean she is sexist [...] You have to know what she's been through to truly understand her songs.

23sherlock - what she is reffering to is the idea that women should stop taking so mcuh punishment and abuse from people which are essentialy cowards. [...] no rules IN SELF DEFENCE, against people she would consider evil, rapists and the such like. to me she is making a point, when it comes to self defence against "evil people" their are no rules.

iKittumsrawr - She also says Even if you're a boy you can fight like a girl haha. Couldn't that be taken as her putting both genders in an equal presence?
